Jo has been teaching in private practice for over 30 years in areas such as piano, theory, musicianship and aural development. During this time she has specialised in many areas, from pre-instrument and early childhood music through secondary school curriculum development and general across the board music education (inclusive of theory, musicianship, aural development, harmony, history, choir, composition, percussion and ensemble) as well as writing for and directing a teenage a capella community choir. Jo is a prolific composer across many genres with many of her works (published by Wirripang and available through their website at australiancomposers.com.au) having been written specifically for the benefit of her students and several on examination syllabi. She currently maintains a busy private practice as well as writing for her students, publishers and commissioned works.
